Cosmetic Tattoo

Pre-treatment

• No alcohol, caffeine, fish oil, vitamin E, aspirin, ibuprofen, or blood thinners (24 hrs–48 hrs).
• Avoid sunburn and tanning.
• No Botox, fillers, or peels near the area for 2 weeks.
• Pause active skincare (retinol, AHA/BHA) 2–3 days before.
• Avoid facials, exfoliation, lash lifts, brow lamination/tinting 2–3 days prior.
Lips: If prone to cold sores, start your prescribed antiviral 1–2 days before.
Eyeliner: Remove contact lenses + lash extensions (48 hrs prior).
Brows:
• No waxing, tweezing, tinting, or lamination (72 hrs prior).
• If unwell or have active sores/infection, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.

Aftercare

• No makeup on the treated area for 7–14 days or until all scabs have naturally fallen off.
• Keep the area dry for 7–14 days — avoid swimming, steam, sweating, and direct shower water.
• From Day 1, apply aftercare ointment 2–3× daily using a clean cotton tip.
• Gently dab with baby wipes in between applications (do not rub).
• Do not scratch, rub, or pick scabs or flakes — let them fall naturally.
• Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, and sun exposure during healing.
Lips:
• Keep the lips moisturised.
• Drink through a straw for the first 5 days.
• If you have a history of cold sores, take Acyclovir (200mg) or your prescribed antiviral as recommended by your doctor, and apply ointment as usual.
• If cold sores appear, continue medication and avoid picking.
Eyeliner:
• Avoid mascara for 7 days, no rubbing or pulling.
Eyebrows:
• No water, sweating, or brow makeup for 7–14 days; allow scabs to fall naturally.

Laser Tattoo Removal

• Expect mild redness, swelling, warmth, or tenderness for a few hours to a few days.
• Frosting, lightening, scabbing, blistering, or flaking is normal.
• Clean gently with mild soap + cool water, then pat dry.
• Apply soothing ointment (Aquaphor/aloe vera) 2–3× daily to keep skin moisturised.
• If blisters form, cover with a sterile non-stick bandage.
• No rubbing, picking, scratching, or popping blisters.
• Avoid tight clothing or friction on the area.
• No sun exposure, tanning, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, or harsh products until fully healed.
• No makeup or perfume on the area.
• Avoid heavy sweating or intense exercise for 24–48 hrs.
• Once healed, apply SPF 30+ to protect the skin.
• Healing takes 6–8 weeks between sessions; multiple sessions are needed for best fading.

Eyelash Extensions

  • Do not wash eyes or shower, and avoid steam and sweat for 24 hours after lash application.
  • Avoid rubbing and pulling your eyelashes.
  • Avoid strong heat, such as ovens or BBQs — heat can melt or distort extensions.
  • Only use extension-safe mascaras.
  • Avoid oil-based and waterproof mascara/makeup removers.
  • Do not use an eyelash curler on your extensions.
  • Clean your extensions with an oil-free makeup remover every day.
  • Book a fill appointment every 2–4 weeks to fill in the areas where your natural lashes have fallen out and new lashes are growing in.

Dermal Filler

  • Bruising and tenderness are common once the local anaesthetic wears off.
  • Apply ice to reduce swelling and discomfort. Hirudoid or arnica cream may help improve bruising.
  • Paracetamol is recommended if you experience any pain.
  • Avoid makeup (including lipstick or lip gloss) for the rest of the day to minimise infection risk.
  • Do not rub or apply pressure to the treated area for one week.
  • Avoid facials, massages, or any treatments involving direct contact with the area.
  • If you have a history of cold sores, we recommend taking famciclovir (ask your local chemist) to help reduce the risk of an outbreak after treatment.
  • If you experience unexpected or severe pain, white or patchy discolouration around the injection site, changes in vision, or any other significant concerns, contact your treating nurse immediately.

Anti-Wrinkle

  • First 24 Hours: avoid touching or rubbing the treated area. No facials, massages, or applying pressure to the injection sites.
  • Do not apply makeup for at least 4 hours. Although rare, doing so too soon may increase the risk of infection.
  • Stay upright for 4 hours after treatment. Avoid bending or lying down, and try to sleep on your back the first night.
  • Avoid alcohol or exercise for the rest of the day. These can increase the risk of bruising.
  • Pain & Bruising
  • If you experience discomfort, take paracetamol. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin or ibuprofen, as they may increase bruising.
  • For minor bruising, Hirudoid or Arnica cream can help speed recover
Botulinum toxin treatments can take up to 14 days to reach their full effect.
If after two weeks you feel you need a “top-up,” your practitioner can assess the area and provide additional treatment if appropriate.
